Latest News:
May 12 - Son is home now to help me get the site going again. Turkey hunters did excellent this year with plenty of turkeys on the ranch with all groups getting birds. The birds were nervous this year with the late storms and more hunting was done with stalking than with calling due to their attitude. Deer hunting still has some openings.
January 10 - Last year's hunters have had the chance to reserve and we now have two fall deer rifle openings now at Aladdin and three at New Haven, so first come, first served. Archery spots we still have several good ones left. As for spring turkey hunting we have only one slot left and the turkey licenses need to be in be in Cheyenne at the end of January.
December 17 - We had a very good Fall Deer Hunting season in November with the success rate at 80%. The bucks taken were both Whitetail and Mule. Several wall hangers were shot throughout the month going to the hunters favorite taxidermist to remember their trip. Reservations will start to be taken for Spring turkey hunting right after Christmas. The Fall archery and rifle deer hunting reservations will begin Jan. 2 for return hunters and Jan. 10 to everyone else. With many of the hunters coming back the slots open will be few. We wish to thank all the hunters who came out this year and had a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and good hunting.
October 25 - Finally getting the site updated, we had a great spring turkey hunting season and a good wet summer. With all the available forage the deer population is larger than ever with the bucks having some of the nicest racks in years. The turkey population in the Black Hills is finally reaching a level where there will be plenty of birds to harvest for next spring.
December 2 - With the year almost over it was one of the Best years ever on the ranch seeing a lot of old friends and making new ones. The spring turkey season went well with the hunters working hard for their Merriam turkeys who were plentiful but wary as usual. The fall deer season was real good with the rut starting around Nov.12. The success for all hunters was 85% for bucks with almost a 50/50 ratio of whitetail and mule bucks taken. Again, like in the past years, several very large racks went to the taxidermists.
Deer reservations for 2008 start on Jan. 2 for the returning hunters and Jan.10 for the remaining time slots for NEW Hunting groups. The seasons for our area is Fall Deer rifle (Region A, area 2) (November) and bow hunting (September)
Spring Turkey Hunters - Looking over my records I see we had a 90% success rate for Spring Turkey Hunts this year though the hunters earned every Merriam they got. Call any time after Jan.1 to reserve as I believe you need to get your Applications in by Jan.1 to 31 with the drawing 2-21-07.The Spring season (Area 1) should be April 9 to May 15 as the turkey populations are very good.
August 16 - The email address is now fixed as we have changed servers. The bucks are huge this year that have been visiting the oats field we have near the house. For all the groups coming out you are going to have a great time.
May 25 - Finally having a chance to write about the Spring turkey hunting as the weather was beautiful and the birds were plentiful. All groups saw lots of Miriams with almost all hunters getting filled after spending some time in the field.
February 13- We now have only two slots available for Fall deer Nov. 9-12 and Nov. 21-24. The 9th to the 12th is right about at the start of the rut. Bow hunting slots are still available in September.
January 17 - The slots available are Nov.1-4, Nov.9-12, Nov.21-24. The New Haven ranch is now filled.
January 10 - We have now have 4 slots for Aladdin due to a last minute cancellation and I for New Haven available. Please call for best selection.
December 2 - We were filled this year and maintained an 68%success which included Whitetail and Mule bucks. The hunters saw deer throughout the month with several groups taking some good sized racks and we have had one nice trophy whitetail taken off by a first time hunter (congratulations Daryl) I will start taking reservations for 2007 Deer (Rifle and Bow) on Jan.2 for the returning hunters and Jan.10 for new groups. The seasons for our area is Fall Deer rifle (region A, Area 2) (November) and Bow Hunts (September).

Ranches ( Aladdin and New Haven ) are run by the Telsrow family.
Telsrow Ranch - Aladdin (307-896-3194) is located in the scenic Black Hills next to Bearlodge National Forest in northeast WY. With an average elevation of 4200', this private ranch of over 1400 acres is covered with rolling hills, ponderosa pines, scrub oaks, lush fields and many ponds. The ranch has numerous wildlife: whitetail deer, mule deer, occasional elk, turkeys, and coyotes.
*We accept hunting groups of 3 to 7 hunters who pay a trespass fee which includes the privilege of hunting on private land for four days with a modern mobile home to stay in with only their group on the ranch!

Telsrow Ranches - New Haven (307-896-3194) are further west in Area 1 and managed also by Richard Telsrow. They are also covered with rolling hills, ponderosa pines, scrub oaks, alfalfa fields and ponds. These ranches have numerous wildlife: whitetail deer, mule deer, turkeys, and coyotes.
*We accept hunting groups of 3 to 7 hunters who pay a trespass fee which includes the privilege of hunting on private land for four or more days with a mobile home or cabin to stay in and may share the ranch with other groups.

-Never hunted in Wyoming before, No Problem , Region A is limited drawing area so 1)you need to apply for your deer license in January & February for Region A , 2)WY Game& Fish draw for licenses at the end of June and 3) Your fall deer hunt begins around November 1st. For the license booklet go to the above button for Wyoming Game/Fish site and contact them to have it sent to you as they usually have it ready in December. When you have applied for the license, Give us a call! We do take early reservations beginning Jan. 3 for those hunters who want a certain time slot.
